Niall Daly currently teaches English, History, Music, CSPE and is also Tutor for one of our first ever classes “Thunberg”.
He holds a BA(Double Honours) in History/Music from NUI Maynooth, an MA in the History of Medicine from UCD, his teaching diploma (PDE) from Trinity College Dublin and a BA(SM) in English/Literature from DCU. He is also a qualified CELTA TEFL teacher and holds ICT qualifications such as being an Apple Teacher and Google Certified Educator (Level 2).
He has taught in a range of different school contexts in Ireland and spent several years in London, UK, where he has held roles of subject specialist in History/Sociology and literacy coordinator for his department.
Niall’s current area of interest lies in meaningful implementation of ICT to support active teaching methodologies. He is also keen on finding ways to promote Universal Design for Learning and embedding ways of facilitating access and success for all our students in their education. Niall currently manages and maintains the iPads in school and can often be found helping out trialling an app or helping staff and students with building their iPad skills.
Recently, he has been coaching our school Lego team to great success in the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE and promoting both the Lego Club and the Ukulele club. In his spare time Niall enjoys walking, reading, swimming and surfing in the North-West of Ireland when he gets a chance.
